The VR2 is not a Universal Remote, it is an enhanced facsimile remote (with screen) and has to be ordered specifically to the mystery model of your Vizio television.

Sounds like you need to get a scanner cleaning kit to clean the scanning window. There might be a lot of junk on it.
As for the automatic feeder, the roller is most likely "extremely well used". You can try to use a chalkboard eraser on the roller to see if you can get it to grab paper again (I know, it sounds silly, but it does work). You will have to pull the roller out of the scanner in order to use the eraser.
Not sure how old your particular Lexmark is, but I see that these models were first released in 2001. You could try to order replacement parts for the printer.
