You checked the obvious, lens cover? (sorry had to ask) any grinding noises when you take a picture or focus\zoom?
SOURCE: Problems deleting pictures from "My Images".
hi austin... pls try to go to your file manager/ phone or memory card storage/ images/ options/ delete (1 by 1) or delete all... for the other option just plug in your phone to your computer if the phone is a plug in play type... then open the My images folder and delete the images you want to delete...thank you very much...

It's very possible that the problem is that the shutter is stuck, which is a known Canon issue on the powershot cameras, mainly on the S2 and S3 models, which it happens after some time (weeks or months) thata camera is not used.
Unfortunately the repair of it requires a complete disassembly of the camera, including the lens, fix it, and then put back together everything.
Definitely requires the skills, tools and experience to do it, so it's recommended that a professional camera repair center is performing this type of repair.
If you look for a reliable and low cost repair service for it, you can look in ebay for such repair services.
Example, look for seller ID Great_items_2004 or with the keywords "Shutter black S3".
Best regards,

SOURCE: the airbag light on our 97 bmw came on a couple days ago and won't go out
1st when the
airbag light is on the system is disabled, so if u have an accident
they will not work, as to the common cause read below.
When
the airbag light is on it means a fault has occurred in the system
and the airbag diagnostic monitor has disabled the system, the most
common problem that turns the light on is a break in the connection
to the steering wheel mounted airbag, this is due to a rotating
ribbon contact that breaks under the steering wheel that connects the
airbag to the wiring harness and the diagnostic monitor, the part is
called th clock spring contact, a coiled up ribbon electrical contact
that turns with the wheel
