SOURCE:Fabric Softener Won't Dispense
The fabric softener dispenser is notorious for clogging. Liquid fabric softener is essentially a liquid form of wax. After a period of time it begins to gunk up the inside of the fabric softener dispenser. If you remove the dispenser drawer and look into the cavity, there should be a series of holes in the upper part of the compartment where water sprays into all the dispenser trays. These holes get gunked up and clogged and water will not dispense properly. As a result, the washer goes through a complete cycle, but the dispenser stays full. If this is the case, you can take some cotton swabs and/or toothpicks and clean these holes real good. It may be a bit meticulous, but it should take care of the problem. Post back and let me know if this helps.

SOURCE: fabric softener dispenser no longer works on my Bosch

Remove soap drawer completely from washer, and thoroughly clean all parts of it, paticularly the conditioner compartment..
Get a piece of stiff wire, and make a right angled bend in the end of it, then poke the wire into all the holes in the top of the soap drawer compartment to clear any possible blockage.
This should solve the prob.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.

SOURCE: Fabric softener not draining

Remove the dispenser drawer by pushing down on the tab at the center back and pulling drawer out. Now, remove the top of the fabric softener compartment and the parts of the soap dispenser and clean them all out. An old toothbrush often helps. Reassemble and replace. They should siphon out now.

SOURCE: remove and replace fabric softener dispenser on kenmore model 20952992

I just did it. All you do is pull up on the blue part -- put the fingers of both hands under the rim and pull. It isn't screwed or bolted on. If there's a lot of gunk built up, it's all the harder to pull up. Be prepared for some yucky stuff. It would be nice if that whole section would come out, since you have to clean the area below with Q-tips.

The dispenser itself could be clogged, misaligned, or damaged, and unable to dispense the detergent, bleach, or fabric softener properly. Inspect the dispenser for any damage and replace if necessary.

I have a LG front load washer and my fabric softener stays in the tray.

Your fabric softener dispenser is clogged. Use a long pipe cleaner as if you were unclogging a drain to clear it. After itā€™s unclogged dilute fabric with water from now on.

Where does the fabric softener and washing powder go in the LG WF-F5207PC 5.5KG top loading washing machine?

Put powdered detergent in the box at the back of the opening of the washer (opposite the control panel when the lid is open). If you use a liquid detergent, dilute it 1:1 with water and pour into the bleach dispenser at the front left of the washer. The fabric softener dispenser is near the bleach dispenser but a little closer to the tub and towards the middle of the left side of the unit. As with a liquid detergent, dilute 1:1 (30ml:30ml) with water before pouring into the dispenser.

If the fabric softener dispenser isn't working, add the fabric softener in the final rinse.

The manual for the washing machine is available here: http://safemanuals.com/user-guide-instructions-owner-manual/LG/WF-F5207PC-_E . You will need to review the unit or enter a security code.

I hope this helps.

The fabric softener dispenser is no longer dispensing..Why? Was working just fine until yesterday and can't figure out why. Pulled tray out, cleaned it, cleaned inside of where the tray goes in and sits....

Wait until your machine has just started the rinse cycle and then pull out the dispenser drawer as far as you dare. You should see a jet of water shooting down into the fabric softener drawer. if not, then you most likely have a faulty operating valve and it will need to be removed to clean or replace it. The part is fairly cheap compared to a call out charge so play safe and have it replaced. As long as you're aware of basic safety procedures regarding electricity and water then it's certainly a DIY job if you can get the parts.

If you do have the jet of water then the fabric softener siphon is almost certainly blocked.

Pull out the dispenser and look at it's underside (I'll assume the top of the dispenser is spotless). Look below the fabric softener compartment and you should see a hole which seems to be dead-ended. This is the siphon. Clean it out thoroughly, and look at the top of the dispenser to see whether the part of the fabric dispensing compartment which looks like a partial lid can be unclipped (they do on every washing machine I've looked at before). if it does unclip then you'll find that the siphon is made of a dead ended tube (usually moulded into the partial lid) which fits over an open ended tube (the one you just tried clearing).Make sure that they're both spotless with no slimy black gunk and reassemble.

I hope you've found this answer helpful and only ask in return that you return the favour by rating my answer.

Detergent dispenser tray will not open

we have been having the same issue - it's possibly the fabric softener blue 'cover' that becomes raised to hit the top of the dispenser unit

we took the top cover off the washer & my husband lifted the dispenser unit lid (as much as possible) and I was able to pull out the dispenser tray

we just removed the cover for the fabric softener so it won't happen again!!!

LG wm-2277hw

If yours is the same problem, water in the dispenser, then the answer is the same...

The reason there is still water in the dispenser, and this in normal by the way, is the unit uses the pre wash and main wash valve to activate the fabric softener. Basically when the two valves come on they force water into the fabric softener compartment. There can be some overflow and it ends up in the blue cup nothing to worry about. Now if you have detergent there, then that is a problem..

Fabric Softener & bleach dispensing

The control board program has many sensors built into the unit to determine when to dispense the bleach and the softener.  LG tech documents doesn't list when these liquids are dispensed so there must be a program that matches the current operation and loads of each wash program.  That's the best answer I can give you at this time.
