I have an AT&T 945 phone that is not working on L1

I just moved it to a new location in my office. It seemed to work fine a couple of hours ago. Now L1 does NOT work at all. The green light does not go on, no ringtone, no nothing. The other line, L2 is fine. Big problem is that L1 is my main line and when someone calls it, it doesn't ring but just goes to voicemail. HELP!

SOURCE: voicemail doesn't work

I would check with your cellular provider to make sure that they kept your voicemail when you purchased the new phone.

SOURCE: Nortel T3716E send calls to voicemail HELP!

Sounds like the call forward no answer isn;t set up on your extension. The first thing to do is to find out what the voice mail pilot number is. That's done by pressing feature 982. The display should say "set:xxx". The set number provided is the voicemail pilot number. Next you'll need to enter system programming. Programming is done on 7310, 7324 and 7316 type sets. Enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming
At the terminals&sets prompt, press the show key (top right arrow). The display should now ask for an extension number. Enter extension number you want to change call forward no answer on.
Press the show key (top right arrow)
The display should say LINE ACCESS
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) .
The display should say CAPABILITIES.
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display say foward no answer.
press theshow key (top right arrow)..
The display should say none. Press the chng key and enter in the voice mail pilot number. press the show key again (top right arrow) To review the rings til forward. Press the chng key if you wish to change the ammount of rings til answered. Press the release key when finished

I have a 974, 945, and 955 phones in a 2-line office. I am getting a squeal on the intercom when I call just one phone. It works fine between other phones. It worked for 2 years and then the squeal showed...

Check the battery on all the phones then make sure they are all programmed with different extension numbers. If the battery has been dead and you have had a power outage then it may have reset the phone to factory default extension 11.

System error L1-00

the L1-00 indicate the scanner carriage is not moving. Something is stopping it. Open the document feeder and turn the copier on while watching the scan carriage (beneath the main glass) - does it move or try to move ? does it make a noise?
If it seems to be moving freely for a bit and then stop - is it going back to its "home" position (starting point). Remove the main glass and then move the scan carriage by hand (with the copier turned off) .. does the carriage move ok? check for a loose carriage drive wire or debris or something broken. Make sure the carriage locking screw is not holding it. Then turn the copier back on and see if the carriage makes an attempt to move back to its starting point. if everything seems to be moving ok then the problem could ly with the "home position" sensor. It could also possibly be a bad drive motor.
