SOURCE: I can't get any spark to the plugs on my 40 horse

Check your kill switch. Spark comes out of the stator, then to your coils

Have new tohatsu outboard that runs fine but wont rev out over 4500 rpm

I just looked at 7 different sites and they are saying Max RPM is between 4,500 - 5,050... How accurate is your Gauge?

Prop Pitch will greatly effect MAX RPM.
