Every time I try to vacuum my apartment with my Dirt Devil Featherlite bagless vacuum, it shuts off before I have finished one or two rooms. I then have to wait 30 minutes before continuing. I had the vacuum for 2 months before exchanging it and it is doing the same thing with my new one. It seems to happen after the first time I empty the cannister. Any ideas?

Your motor in the vacum is getting hot.Thats why it shuts off.Its fitted with a shut off switch to stop you doing any damage to it.1 The reason for getting to hot is that you are filling the cannister to full.Try emptying it half.good luck.

The motor is over heating.make sure the filters are clean and the dirt cupo is empty and there are no cloggs in the hose or the intake.theres a black tube that runs up the back and empties into the dirt cup.you can take a coat hanger with a hook on the end and stick it down the tube to clear it out in case theres something in there.clean the filter and put it back in make sure the filter is dry first.or you can try it without the filter just to see if it works

The Dirt Devil Featherlite vacuum cleaner throws up the dirt back out. Sometimes the vacuum cleaner doesn't pick up any dirt

You have a blocked vacuum hose take hose off and out side. Push the garden hose from one end to the other, this will push out the blockage
