SOURCE: uc code error

uc code means unbalanced condition. My research shows this as being an unbalanced load or a faulty control board.
Make sure your load is balanced, otherwise you may have to replace the control board.

SOURCE: Received an error code dl f on my Kenmore Elite

The "Fdl" error code indicates a problem with the door latch assembly. The clicking sound you hear is the door latch attempting to latch. If it fails to latch, the wash cycle will not start and the error code and audible beep will occur. There should be a tech sheet inside the washer. It's usually located behind the bottom panel under the door, or along the inside of the casing on either the left or right hand side. The tech sheet will have a list of error codes, procedures on how to perform diagnostics, and troubleshooting hints. It's strongly recommended that you leave the tech sheet inside the washer, so you don't lose it.
Repairclinic.com carries the door latch for about $50 and is listed as item number 1094190.

Searspartsdirect carries it for slightly less for about $43 and lists it under the "Door and Latch Parts" as item number 7 (part #8181700).

If you go to my profile and click on "Tips and Tricks" I have a posting there on how to change the door latch on a front loader. It's a very simple repair that any Do-It-Yourselfer can accomplish.

If you can't find the instructions you need, or need further assistance, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: When I activate self cleaning, the door lock does

I am sorry you are having this trouble. Hopefully the following will help you.

Its not the locking mechanism that is bad, it is the door switch or wiring to the door switch.

Its not detecting that the door is closed so it will not lock the door, and gives you error code F8 - Door switch not detecting door closed.

Check the switch its self and make sure all wires are connect to it.

I hope I was able to help you and thank you for using Fixya!!!

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite F11 error message with Door Lock error

"F11" is a Serial Communications error between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and Motor Control Unit (MCU). The CCU is the main computer for the washer and is located directly behind the wash tub. The MCU is the Drive Motor Control board and is located in the rear of the washer adjacent to the Drive Motor on the left-hand side (facing from the rear with the back panel removed). The wiring harness can also cause the error, but it is not as common a problem.

Whirlpool is the manufacturer of both model washers and recommends the following troubleshooting advice. Remove the top panel of the washer by removing the three screws holding it in place in the rear. Once the screws are removed, the panel slides back, then off. Remove the rear panel of the washer for access to the drive motor and MCU. Now check the following:

- Check the wire harness connections between the CCU, the MCU and Drive Motor. Make sure all connections are attached and making good contact. Check for any broken wires or connector pins.
- Check the Drive Motor to see if it free spins and that the belt is still attached and not slipping. If the motor is seized, replace it. If the belt is broken or worn, replace it as well.
- Check the MCU. Connector 1 is the Serial Communications Link between the MCU and CCU. Connector 2 is the connector to the drive motor. Resistance checks across pins 1, 2, & 3 are the motor windings. Connector 3 is the power supply - 120VAC should be read across pins 1 and 2 with the door in the locked position. NOTE: The connectors are read 1, 2, and 3 from the bottom to the top with the MCU installed.
- Check the CCU. Verify connectors 7 and 11 are properly installed. Facing from the front of the washer, connector 7 is the 4th connector from the RIGHT along the front. This is MCU Power. Connector 11 is the Serial Communications link from the CCU to the MCU and is located along the left hand side of the CCU (the connectors are numbered 11 through 14 back to front).
- Check the Drive Motor. Remove the connector and perform resistance checks on the motor connector pins. Readings across pins 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and 1 to 3 should read 6 ohms.

In most cases this is an indication of a failed CCU. This is an easy repair that the average do-it-yourselfer can accomplish on their own. If the washer is still under a warranty, parts and labor would be covered. With no warranty, a replacement parts will vary in price depending on where you get them. There are several good websites available that you can order parts on line and have shipped directly to you.

NOTE: Remove all the connectors from the CCU ONE AT A TIME and reconnect to see if the error code goes away BEFORE you decide to purchase a new one. It is not common, but sometimes a flaky connection can generate error codes.

DOOR LOCK ERROR
A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be locked. It will tryto lock it six times before displaying the error code.

Possible Causes/Procedure ? Door lock mechanism is broken or removed from door.
? Door switch/lock unit failure.
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check door switch/lock unit.
3. Check the wire harness connections to the door switch/lockunit and Central Control Unit (CCU).
Since you replaced the lock assembly, I would check all the wiring connections on the CCU. What is your model number?

What is code F22 on sport duet washer? The locking mechanizm buzzes a little, and when you push start it's locked and stays locked, and you have to stick your hand up in it to unlock it.Thanks.

Hi,
"F22" is a door latch failure error code. At the beginning of the wash cycle the door will attempt to lock several times. If the latch fails to lock, the washer shuts down and the error code is displayed.

In some cases, the error code can also be displayed if the CCU goes bad. There is a door latch relay on the board that controls the door locking mechanism. The CCU is not serviceable and must be replaced if defective. In addition, make sure all the connector plugs between the CCU and door latch are connected and snug.

Thank you !!

Washer won't turn on, code FdL appears in timer window, GHW9250M

Hi. this is a Door lock mechanism error. here is a description of the code and troubleshooting tips below.

Door lock error

A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be locked. It will try to lock it 6 times before displaying the error.

Potential Causes

• Door Lock Mechanism broken or removed from the Door
• Check Door Lock/Switch Assembly
• Check the wire harness connections to the Door Lock/Switch Assembly and Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Door Lock/Switch Assembly Failure

You may need to replace the door lock mechanism if the wire harness checks out OK. Now, if the wires are connected well and the door lock mechanism if working, this could be a more serious issue concerning the Control board.

You can test the door lock mech by using a volt neelde or multimeter as well. use the connector clips for testing the proer voltage.

Please rate and god bless:)

DL error code

DL is a 'Door Lock' error code.
A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be locked. The Central Control Unit (CCU) will try to activate the lock 6 times before displaying the error.

Potential Causes
• Door Lock Mechanism has failed
• Wire harness connections to the Door Lock/Switch Assembly and Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Central Control Unit (CCU) has failed.

There really isn't much you can do except replace the defective parts. The door locks have been troublesome and have replaced some. But there are cases where the CCU will develop an internal intermittent connection to the door lock causing it to work then not work. Check your owners manual for limited warranty on the CCU. The door lock only warranted for 1 yr.

Whilrpool Self Cleaning Range Door won't unlock

try this 1. Verify error code by pressing and holding CANCEL/OFF key for 5 seconds.
Momentarily (less than 5 sec.) press CANCEL key again to remove error code
display.
2. Press and hold any key for 1 minute until F2 E0 code is displayed.
3. Cancel F2 E0 error code.
4. Program and start the clean mode. Observe to see if door locks. If it does not,
inspect the locking mechanism from the solenoid to the latch pawl and door to
find the cause of the problem. If the door is not locking, then 1 minute from the
start of clean, the F5 E1 code will again be displayed. Steps 1 through 3 will
have to be repeated before another clean can be started.
5. Once any mechanical problems with the latch mechanism have been corrected,
program and start a clean cycle (after, if necessary, clearing F5 E1 error code)
to ensure proper operation of the door lock. Immediately cancel the clean mode to observe proper operation of door unlock
