Per the manual page 6 SAE 10w-40 is recommended for general,
all-temperature use

I Take it the motor is a 5.7 liter v8 or a 4.3 liter v6 could even be the 5.0 but I would say that with the oil filter it should take 5.5 quarts of oil. some take 5 so after 5 start the engine for 15 seconds and shut it down and check it. As for the Ocatane I my self always run 92 octane I know it is more money but I have had less build up of carbon better running just all around better preformance. you can use either and mix them ,best advice here is to change the oil every 6000 miles with a oil filter every third oil change ,use the cheapest diesel/petrol oil you can buy even a monograde like sae 30 and you will not go far wrong ,Too much hype put out by oil companies as lot of mark up on oil ,and even more so in dealers trust me --- seen it ---- top dollar for oil and shell rotella put in everything which bought in bulk was cheap ,good oil though .another place used SAE30 and charged the price of duckhams but i am going back a bit their though
go by dipstick ,. given oil amount often doesn't included if changed oil filter and oil in radiator
