Make sure that when you type your user name and password that you are not transpousing any letters or numbers.

Error 80023017 is (as far as I can tell) a maintenance issue. So my guess is that we will have to wait for Sony to patch this with another update. Until then, you cant get online.. This is because, I'm going to take a stab here, you updated to version 3.50

Hi the problem is with your password so dont change any settings ok the problem is not your end everybody else is having the same problem, sony are having some down time at the minute to update their servers and software so just bare with them for a couple of hours and it will be back on shortly.
dont try changing any settings as the problem is their end not yours

their are loads of people asking the same question in the last hour so you are not the only one, you could try going to the sony ps3 web site and check on their for any down time,

i have just got through to sony and they are doing maintenance on the network so just bare with them and it should be back on shortly ok

Welcome Fixya. If forgot your password all you need to do is to click on forgot password on the login screen and enter the mandatory details needed. The new password will be sent to your email address that is registered to Facebook.
