I'm going next week to a hunt trip and i'm looking for a concealed carry holsters for my Beretta 950BS, i went with my friend in 2018 to Colorado Rifle Club, Byers, i used my Weatherby sa08 with 5.56 ammo and my friend with same rifle but with 223 ammo and we both made a compression, i tried 223 ammo for first time on my rifle and actually it was good and accurate more than 5.56 ammo, that is what my friend said too he felt that the recoil is heavier with 5.56. I also read a compression on https://bulkmunitions.com/building-your-stockpile-everything-you-need-to-know-about-ammo-storage/ for bullets compression, on this trip we'll work on another compression. But before to go i need to buy a carry holster for my gun , i don't have one because i just bought the gun last week !

What are the common mistakes people usually make while carrying concealed?

As others will probably give you some common general concealed carry mistakes, here are some tips when it comes to carrying concealed in your purse:

  • Do not sling your purse over the top of the chair at a restaurant. The purse, along with your gun, is easily snatched this way.
  • Do not put your purse in the children's seat in a grocery cart. Again, it can be snatched too easily.
  • Have a separate "going out" bag. Many states have laws against carrying in an establishment that serves alcohol.
  • Remove your gun from your purse every night. This puts you in the habit of removing it and putting it back in the morning, so you never become complacent and forget you are carrying it.
  • Before travelling, use the buddy system. Have someone else double-check all of your bags, including your purse, for guns, ammo or magazines.
  • Keep a separate travelling purse and carry-on that your gun never goes in. This will make sure you do not accidentally show up at the airport while carrying.
  • Download the iPhone app, Carry Alerts for $2.99. The app warns you when you are entering a "gun-free zone." The alerts will remind you that you have a gun in your purse.

What does pd mean on a smith & wesson magnum 357

The PD series is Smith & Wesson's idea of a handgun that is lightweight enough to be always on hand when needed but it is not necessarily intended to be shot often. Carry ability and concealment are optimized while heft and shooting comfort are sacrificed.

"Personal Defense", PD as opposed to a gun that is mainly intended to be a range gun, showpiece or race gun (Performance Center, PC) or sidearm for military or police (M&P).
