Question about Hotpoint Dryers
Dry cycle says it's complete but clothes come out very hot too hot to handle and wet/moist. I've checked the inlet solenoid/valve for the condenser R=61 Ohms and working, additionally is definitely water going into the condenser confirmed visually. Fan and heater all OK. Clothes dried successfully once after I checked the machine over but since it has reverted to behaving as described. I wasn't able to remove the condenser where it attaches to the back of the drum but couldn't see any obstructions to it venting.
Check the exhaust tube externally and internally for excess lint build-up on the sides. You may not have the vent obstructed, but you may have the venting restricted. Clean out lint if there is excess. It may need a good scraping/ brushing to help your machine breathe. Just an extra thought.

Sorry I'm way late with this but I've only just noticed it. Unplug the machine from the mains! Remove the lid (with a torx screwdriver) and you'll notice a small circular device with 2 leads attached on the top of the machine, in the centre there's a small button, press it and it should click......you've fixed it This is a thermal cutout safety device designed to switch the drying heater off if it becomes too hot. The probable cause for this is that you've over filled the machine and the air didn't circulate freely. as a rule of thumb, dry 1/2 as many clothes as you wash.

You're a moron. This unit washes and dries. That's the whole point of it. Perhaps you should do some research before answering the question. the most likely cause is the water lever sensor.

Can you feel air blowing out the vent on the dryer itself? The reason I ask is if you dont feel any air blowing out your blower fan isnt working and wouldn't matter if vent was clear if you dont have any air movement.
