Some tablets have a charging port and a usb port. If your tablet is so equipped it should charge while connected to another computer by usb or to a usb charger.
If your tablet is only equipped with a usb port and that is broken, it will need a repair before the battery can be charged.
If it's just loose, you can snap it back in. If the port is broken off the ribbon though, you can always try to replace the broken part yourself first. search model name plus "repair guide" on any search engine. They will show details about about part replacement etc. in detail. There are other websites that sell all the replacement parts, one of the bigger ones is http://portatronics.com (646) 797 2838. Then for the repair itself you can venture to do it yourself, or better ask a friend who has done a similar repair before.
both of my charging ports on my zeepad are TOO LOOSE and wont make contact anymore, i need both ports so i can repair it myself, im so disapointed in the quality of the charging ports, one is a usb aanother is a skinny pin type...I really need the ports from someplace..
