For security, some laptops cannot be reset. Some laptops, though, do have a way.

SOURCE: reset bios password

If you are not afraid to open the box, the simple fix would be to remove the cpu battery(looks like a quarter) for about 30 seconds and replace, then boot up. At that point it will ask for information such as date and time, but then you can access the bios

SOURCE: reset bios password or remove

The laptop password cannot be reset by removing the battery and there is no jumper for the CMOS or bios reset. You must go to Acer to obtain the master password as laptop computers have NVRAM (non-volatile RAM) that retains the password forever as an anti-theft protection. Steve Medley

How to Bypass or Remove aBIOS Password

NOTE: Do not try to guess the password on a passworded Hard Drive. 3 wrongguesses will often result in the information on the hard drive being lostforever. How to Bypass or Remove a BIOS Password by Removing theCMOS Battery:
The simplest way to remove a BIOS password is to simply remove the CMOSbattery. A computer will remember its settings and keep the time even when itis turned off and unplugged because these parts are powered by small batteryinside the computer called a CMOS battery. If we pull out this battery, thecomputer will forget a lot of its hardware settings, including its BIOSpassword. This should not be performed on Laptops if you are not experiencedworking with laptop hardware. Anyway, open up thecomputer case using a screw driver and locate the flat, circular and metallicCMOS battery. Some computers have this part standing upright. Once you have located it,observe how the latches are holding it. There are many different ways to removea CMOS battery. Make sure to power down thecomputer, unplug the power cables and unplug any USB devices if they arepowered. The computer must not be able to get power from anywhere for this towork. Take out the CMOS battery and wait 10 - 25 minutes before putting it backin. The reason for this wait is because the computer can still store power inits capacitors even though everything is unplugged. The waiting period allowsenough time for them to discharge. Plug everything back in,power up the computer and enter the BIOS again. If everything went well thereshould be no more password. In some cases, if you get weird error messagesduring bootup now, you will need to go to "Load BIOS Defaults" in BIOS and savethe changes to fix them.

Cant boot up my toshiba lap top. it comes up asking for the BIOS password then shuts down after 3 tries! have tried all the F keys, shift key and removing battery!

the only way to get past the bios password is to open up the case and try to find a jumper on the main board that says bios reset, close that jumper and turn on the computer for one boot, power down and remove the jumper, after that the bios should be reset(bios passwords are usually set as a security measure that is not easy for the average user to bypass such as a windows one that can be removed by formatting the drive and reinstalling windows)

Reset the bios password Toshiba A105-S2131 i cant do nothing, no dos, no windows when i just turned it on tha screenn of logo toshiba apears and then the password, if some can helpme ai really apreciate...

Sounds like you have a bootup password set in the bios. Press the key for getting into the bios and if it does not ask for a password then you can change the setting for bootup password.

If not then you will have to have the bios reset. In a desktop it involves unplugging the computer and either removing the battery or using the jumper to clear cmos.

On the laptop it would be unplugging it, removing the battery, accessing the internal area to remove the cmos battery to clear the cmos.
