I have a 15 yr old Whirlpool drop in oven RS696pxyb-0. The oven will heat to desired temperature but then as it cools it will not maintain the requested degree. There are times it will call for heat and you can hear the "click" in the control panel and the heat light will come on but still no heat. But most of the time no heat. Maybe 10% of the time it will maintain the heat. If I turn the oven off and back on resetting the temperature to the same setting it will come on and reheat. I have replaced the heat sensor but no change. I am unsure that replacing the control panel ($230.00) will resolve the problem. Any suggestions on other causes and how to test those or the control panel to confirm what may be the cause?
i have the same problem. oven about 15 yrs old. i replaced the sensor with no results... im unsure if i should replace panel.
Same problem here, with a Hotpoint RGB745WEH1WW gas oven. What did you end up doing that worked?
