SOURCE: sounds like a loose belt.

Most surpentine belts have an atomatic tensoner. I have had 2 fail on different cars and it is a simple fix, both of them required removal of one bolt.

SOURCE: where to tighten belt on reebok280 treadmill?

there should be 2 end roller caps, one on the left and one on the right. in these caps there will be an allen key bolt, turn each one a full turn to tighten the belt. continue to turn these bolts until you are happy with the belt tension.

SOURCE: The treadmill belt is making a noise and feel like

If it has a low pitch growling when you start unit then the running belt is too tight and the adjusting bolts need to be backed until the growling noise is lessened or eliminate without the running belt slipping.
If it is the drive belt slipping, the adjustment bolt is underneath the frame so you will need to elevate the treadmill and adjust the bolt until slippage is eliminated without over tightening the drive belt.

SOURCE: the belt is loose on treadmill how do I tighten it

Is the belt drifting side to side? If so, adjust it with the Allen bolts on both sides of the base. If the belt is just slipping, has your treadmill had a lot of use? If so, you may need a new belt. You can order one at Treadmill Parts

The tensioner is an automatic device. You DONT Adjust it. Sounds like you need a new belt and probably should replace the tensioner. Tensioner have a limited lifespan usually 75000 to 100000 miles

Lifespan TR 1200i Treadmill Theres a creaking noise coming from inside the main covered (engine) compartment when I walk fast and run. I've taken the cover off and can't figure out what is causing the...

The LifeSpan TR1200i Treadmill can have a little bit of flex in the frame when being used on wood floors or carpet. With the large plastic hood tightened down securely, the flexing causes squeaks. Further tightening can cause unwanted deformation of the hood leading to breakage. The cure is to loosen the 4 screws that bind the hood to the frame until the hood is sitting on the screws without binding. The weight and size of the hood will keep it in place.

hi,
There is no gear on the teradmils. Motor is directly couppled to a fly wheel which is a part of the frond roller. FIrst of all oppen the treadmill motor cover and check the belt between the motor and fly wheel . If that belt is loose then this can happened. You will hear a wistling sound when there is load on the treadmill waking belt. If the belt inside is ok the you have to check the waking belt tension. The folloeing video will help you to Tighten the teradmill waking belt.

When running, belt feels like it gets caught or slides off track.

Sounds like the belt is loose. To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns.

What do i do when the belt skips while u are on it?

This is caused by one of three problems. First and most likely, the walking belt is loose. If it takes more than 2 turns then something else is the problem. The second problem that it could be is the drive belt might be loose. To tighten the drive belt, start by removing the front cover. loosen the bolts around the motor then tighten the drive belt by tightening the motor adjuster bolt. Once the drive belt is tight, tighten the motor back down. The third problem that it could be is the walking belt could be worn and need to be replaced. Let me know if you have any questions.
