Codes for a43 inch led onn tv to pair up cable box remote control

Tune the set-top box (not the TV) to an HD channel
Press CABLE then POWER on your remote to turn the set-top box OFF
Press the MENU or SETTINGS button on your remote to access the User Settings Menu
Make sure the OUTPUT is set to the correct HD TV format (720 or 1080)
Press CABLE then POWER on your remote to turn the set-top box ON

ONC18TV001 is not compatible with the dish remotes

Your XFINITY remote can be paired with XFINITY X1 TV boxes, allowing you to control the TV box even when it is placed out of sight, such as in an entertainment center or in another room (up to 50 feet away). XFINITY remotes can be identified by the model number on the back panel or within the battery compartment of the remote.

Note: Once your remote is successfully paired with a TV box, it will not control any other TV box until paired with the other TV box. XFINITY remotes can only be paired with one TV box at a time.

It usually matches the signal being sent to it. the movie etc. is 4:3
If you have a hi def cable/fios etc box you need the HDMI cable or the 5 AV cables to actually watch it in HD then this should stay at 16: other wise your stretching the picture makes people look funny

Using your cable remote or satellite tv remote as well as the one that came with the television itself. Press the hd zoom # button on the cable remote. Satellite tv remotes will have format or aspect. For satellite tv receivers you may have to go into the menu on the satellite tv box to adjust the picture format i.e. 1080i crop and etc.

Make sure you have the television on the right input for hd and that the cable box or satellite receiver is displaying 1080 i.

The TV will display the signal it is being fed with and adjust itself according to the video signal resolution. The video source tells the TV what the resolution it should display. 720 in 720 out on the screen, 1080 in 1080 on th screen (if TV can do 1080p or 1080i).

On your cable box remote press the hd zoom button. I have comcast cable box and it worked for me.

Push the "Ratio" button on your remote and see if that helps. I am assuming you are connected to either a cable or satellite box. If pushing ratio doesn't work, it may be a setting in the box. Post what kind of box your using and I will see if I can help.
