Hi I have an LG KS360 Web Slider. I went onto Settings then Security then Sim Pin, and then turned the sim pin security on. it said enter a sim code. I am with boost and i had previously activated my sim online at a special website, where it had asked for me to create a pin code, which i did. i assumed that my phone was now asking for this pin. I entered it, then is said: enter PUK code. i couldn't find anything in my instruction manual about a PUK code, so i just entered the same pin from the online activation again. Then it said "create new pin.'' i though GREAT, now i can make a new one. so i entered in a completely new 4digit pin number. it then said ''re-renter new pin,'' so i wrote it in again and it said, ''wrong PUK entered. you have 9 tries left.'' i couldn't get off that screen after that. it was locked. i couldn't do anything. i couldn't even go back to the home screen. so i tried turning the phone off. Now whenever i turn it back on, it comes to the LG KS360 screen, then goes onto the screen saying ''enter PUK code,'' with touch sensitive number below. i try entering random 4 digit codes, and whatever i write it always says, ''create new pin'' after it and ,''refresh new pin''. then it says wrong PUK entered. you have however many tries left. Now i can't use my phone. the only thing i can do is an SOS call. PLEASE HELP!! I've only had it for 2 weeks.

If you have a webslider just call 1300 555 002 and follow the prompts.You will talk to a real person and just ask for your PUK code they will tell you. :)
Hi, just read your problem and I have experienced a similar thing where it keeps asking for this PUK code. I kept trying and have 6 attempts left so gave up. My phone is working though !! I hope you can get yours sorted. If you do manage to find out how to solve it, I would find it most helpful.
Been on to my service provider who gave me a PUK code they said it was for unblocking my phone and only worked with my sim card. Havent had the nerve to try it yet incase it uses up my attempts !! not sure i this is what is required or not. The PIN2 code supplied with some SIM cards is required to access certain services. If you enter PIN or PIN2 code incorrectly three times in succession, you are asked for the PUK or PUK2 code. If you do not have them, contact your service provider. The module PIN is required to access the information in the security module of your SIM card. The signing PIN may be required for the digital signature. The barring password is required when using the call barring service. To set= how your phone uses the access codes and security settings, select Menu> Settings> Security.

PUK stands for the PIN Unlock Key. You usually get this when you have entered the wrong PIN for 3 consecutive times.
You can get the PIN from the SIM card provider. It is usually on a small
piece of paper that came along with the SIM card case. If you are on
post-paid, ask assistance from your phone provider.
The Security unlocking code would be unique to the phones IMEI number and not anything anyone would have. If the phone is locked to its original carrier then you'll either need to call the original carrier for the code or look online for a site that does phone unlocking.
