SOURCE: i have a ge xl44 gas range. the oven knob has come off

You will need to locate your full model #, usually open the bottom drawer and you can see it on the chassis on the right or left side. Try searspartsdirect.com type your model in and it will give you a parts breakdown and about the best assembly view your going to get. Sometimes there is more to be desired but this should help. I cant find my model number and serial number for my new cuisine master 100

Serial number should be on a rating label on the appliance.

The model number should be in the instruction manual that came with it.

Possible company phone numbers in a similar model manual:

Try hooking the plate with a piece of wire and pull it close to the hole's,then get a strong magnet and put next to the screw holes,it might hold the plate till you get the screws started.

Just bought a Leisure Gourmet Classic gas cooker. Connected the gas and plugged it in but none of the burners will light. The ignition is working but no gas is getting through. Any ideas folks? TIA, Andy

I had a similar problem when my new Leisure cooker was installed last December. The burners would light when I held the knobs in but when I let go the flame would go out. The engineer took off each of the burner knobs and stuck a small wad of aluminium foil between the inside of the knob and the contact on the front of the cooker - he said it's a design fault and the gap is just a bit too large for contact to be made reliably. This fixed the problem and I've had no trouble since.
