DO NOT USE RICE. It will cause more damage. If it will it will not turn on it will most likely be the battery. It’s worth a shot for an expensive tablet but the cheaper tabs would be best replaced.

Yes it will Steve. Maybe you should read up or try it yourself on one of your electronics. Rice will not do any good. It does not work. Rice will do more harm than help. Do not use rice to dry out electronics.

we separate the LCd screen , cleaned carefully by hand (towel and blow dry).
and battery hand towel cleaned.
the keyboard may be a total loss
and flush the electronics is near pure alcohol
this absorbs water.so well.
and then use oven heat to dry that.
after all that labor, you go broke.

buy a large bag of silica gel, desiccant.

The pump is at the right front. When the seal goes bad the pump will leak down the shaft. Check the hoses too.
