It won't do anything. Downloading an app for the Wii, putting it on your SD card, and then putting it into your 3DS will not do a thing.

How to Perform a Hard Reset Applies to: New Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 2DS Step by step instructions on hard resetting the system.

Note:

If you are having issues with the system freezing, click here.
If you would like to format the system, click here.
It is not possible to set the system to a previous system menu version. Once the system has been updated, it cannot be rolled back.

What to Do:

Press and hold the POWER Button down until the system resets; this may take some time.
Once the system is powered down, press the POWER Button once to turn it back on.

Hold down the power button until the screen goes black. Then press the power button to turn it back on. If this doesn't work, you'll have to remove the battery. If it still won't work, send it to Nintendo to fix; your limited warranty should still apply if it's the XL.
