I have had the best luck setting up a repeater by attaching a CAT5 cable to it, then using the interface to set it up from my computer. When I did so, it just showed up in my network. Right click and edit, or go to webpage, whichever shows up on the popup menu.

How extend in built wifi

You can purchase a wifi repeater fairly inexpensively now if you are trying to extend the WIFI range of your existing network. They are pretty easy to setup. They mirror your existing network and you then place them on the outer most area that your network is able to reach. It then extends your primary network further out in that direction. You can add multiple WIFI extenders to a network to cover large areas like a motel or apartment complex.
