The CD player Drive motor (not controller motor) slowly, over time, started having trouble starting the disk and keeping it in rotation. I presume it was a bearing or bushing in the Drive motor. Is there any help on this problem available? Parts? The Drive motor has a label on it that is possibly a part number. It is: BCD3B 05UD0220A.

I just read on another website that the program "Pinnacle CD/DVD Suite" is the problem. It gets installed along with Wordperfect and it needs to be un-installed. I had the same problem with the 2 pop-ups and then when I tried to put in a cd with pictures on it, my computer crashed. I have just un-installed the Pinnacle CD/DVD Suite on my computer and the messages are gone and I can run cd's again!!

Try to see if there is any oil in it. Or maybe your belt is clogged. A good cleaning and maybe a change of plug may help.

Well, I have an RCA clock radio/CD player and just figured it out. Press the "Time" button and hold it down while pressing the CD "Forward" button. Hope it works for you! Ron
