SOURCE: front load washer leak
This could be the rubber seal or the door lock. If the door lock is not pulling it tightly closed then it needs to be replaced. Check the seal really closely and make sure there are not cracks and it does not look deformed

I queryed another site; justanswer.com with technician Larry, who provided the solution. Replace the door latch assenbly part # WH10X1006 $146.99 from GE. A local parts house had the identical under a Whirlpool # WP8182634 for 59.46. Install the new assemble and all is well.

This worked for me. I turned off the washer and hit the area on the washer directly to the right of the door handle (not hard enough to break something or cause a dent). It popped right open.

there is a dispenser hose that goes in the tub.alot of times a sock or something gets inside that hose.that would cause your trouble.take the boot off the front and look up and left to see that hose.it comes out of the tub pretty easy.
