SOURCE: how can i remove unwanted subtitles

Usually, if the subtitles are from your dvd player, you can go to the main menu, select "languages" or "setup" (depending on the dvd), and find the subtitle option. You should be able to shut them off there in the menu. If the subtitles are there because of your tv, there should be a button labeled "cc" on your remote. If you press this key a few times, it should eventually read something like "cc off" on the tv screen. I hope this helps, and good luck! Sincerely, Der Strom

Subtitles are embedded in the program material. You may be seeing closed captioning (CC) which usually is enabled/disabled as part of initial set up.

The kids have turned on sub-titles. How do I turn them off?

Hi there,
Was it done on the TV or on the Media Player (DVD, Blu-Ray, etc.)?
It would be easier to guide you if I knew.
Otherwise, the best would be to look on the Remote for a Subtitle Button. Otherwise, you could have a look around in the Settings Menu for "Display Subtitles" this could be located within the Display or Audio Sub Menus in your Settings.
*Do hope it is not too confusing.
Hope it Helps!
