Alcatel a577vl won't turn on displays "Secure Boot Failure ". How do I fix it and why did it happen?

Who makes your computer? Entering bios varies but f2, f12 and or del key are typical for lenovo, dell and hp. You may want to get into bios and see if booting to cd is turned off. To get into bios you have to be real quick at tapping the f2 key before anything else is displayed.

Also if that doesn't work, try turning off secure boot in bios. and try again. Secure boot may be on, and that may be preventing/blocking an operating system (or recovery) from working. After you get all set up turn back on secure boot.

The screen cable has become loose! Open up the phone and secure the screen cable connection!

If your computer is working fine, then disable PXE boot in BIOS or remove from 1st boot option. This is a LAN (network) boot option. It can't find a DHCP server, that's why the media test failure is displayed. It's usually used to load an OS image from network.


For the most part not a real problem. More of a warning. Some corporate models use PXE to mass image.
If there is a problem (won't boot) then it lost communications to hard drive, and you need to check BIOS for hard drive.
