SOURCE: The tension on the recumbent exercise bike does not get hard

If your bike has magnetic resistance and you changed the batteries this should make your tension work properly. Since it did not I believe that there are magnets somewhere on your bike that are wearing out. Or it could be a computer part. Your manual should tell what part you need to order and replace. I hope this information has been helpful.

Also make sure the batteries that you put in your bike are really new ones. Sometimes you can purchase new batteries at a store and they are actually a little weak. I had this problem with an elyptical trainer and I went and got other batteries and this fixed the problem.

SOURCE: schwinn 201 recumbent bike makes clicking noise

Check the tightness of the crank bearings, also the crank fastening nuts (on axle) If its the gears you may have to turn the screws on the rear derailleur to adjust the tracking. The same as the front. Your question is kind of vague so its hard to pinpoint the clicking noise. Could even be a stone in the tire??lol

I have a New Balance 6200 5k recumbant bike. It started to "clank" and the pedal axal seemed to wiggle within the bottom bracket. DO you sell the bearing set that will work for this bike? MW

Unfortunately the other answer is incorrect, as you did not explain that yours is not a bike but rather a bicycle exercise machine. It appears that unit uses a crank assembly unlike that which comes on bicycles. I would suggest you contact the manufacturer:

I've had a Schwinn 270 recumbent bike for 4 years. The resistance is completely gone. Suggestions?

I suggest you check the troubleshooting guide in the manual, as there are several causes for the resistance not changing. http://download.nautilus.com/supportdocs/AM_OM/Schwinn/SCH.270-MY17.AM-OM-W.EN.pdf I would suspect that no resistance at all might have to do with a failure of the servo motor, which appears to control resistance through interaction with magnets on the wheel.

Secondly, you can try contacting Schwinn Fitness: Customer Service

If you still can't figure out the problem you may need in-person help. Find a place that sells Schwinn exercise bikes or see if someone at a local gym that has recumbents can help you. The bike is apparently made by Nautilus.

Slight noise in level 1 resistance, then resistance won't change at all

if you are using the Normal charger AC, try to see if are O.K measure with DMM the output(see the laber for Output voltage VDC)
2) If you are using the Batteries , replace by new ones Type ALKALINE, very important. Clean very well the springs and tight, use electronic cleaner contacts, see if there are some wires loose or desolder.
3) If everything is o.k See for the small motor inside (this regulate the resistance) if working good, or the steel cable is broken, or missing or the motor is faulty, replace or repair.
Blessing.
