Are you replacing the hinge with the plastic white or black one. there is also an upgrade one made from stainless steel and wire. these will not brake. but are more expensive.

SOURCE: door hinge adjustment to LG Dishwasher

There is no adjustment to the door hinges. If your hinges are failing they will need to be replaced.

SOURCE: Frigidaire dishwasher door squeaks when opened and closed

I had the same problem and this worked like a charm:
http://www.blog.applianceoutletservice.com/2008/12/frigidaire-dishwasher-door-squeaks.html

All you'll have to do is take off the kick plate, actually remove the cords, and lubricate with soap (lower tech than spray silicon, but it's worked so far...)

Testimonial: "Hey, thanks for the advice. Worked like a charm. Hopefully Frigidaire has improved their design."

Can my dishwasher be fixed?

The main control board is likely defective, the cost is about $200+ to repair. Is it fairly new?? If not replace it, stay away from touch controls (solid stat control panels), go as basic as possible, they last much longer.

Why does door open too far and is not horizontal to the floor when open?

Besides spring streaches out over time or one rope breaks. Their are like three spots to hook spring to get tension for door. I just replaces both ropes as one broke and hooked springs in middle hole. Takes more time to pull washer out then to replace the ropes

How do i fix a broken spring on a dishwasher door

You will need to pull the dishwasher out about 12" to 18" to be able to get to the springs & rope links. Many dishwashers use a "rope link" to connect between the spring and the door hinge; and in others, the door springs connect directly to the door hinges. Once you pull the dishwasher out, you will easily see what broke and what you need to fixe it.

I have a cub cadet snowthrower 524 (315-616E100), I pulled the recoil starter rope and it broke off in the housing. I opened the housing, restrung the rope, put the housing back on, gave it a pull and the...

OK, this is a pretty simple fix, if you have 3 hands. What happened when the rope broke is that it allowed the recoil spring to unwind. You need to take the housing off again, put the rope back inside the housing. You then need to turn the big pulley that the rope wraps onto in the same direction as it would turn when you pull the rope. You probably need to turn it 6-8 times at least. Once you get this done, you need to hold the pulley secure and feed the rope thru the housing again, put the handle back on the rope. This last step is where the 3rd hand comes in very handy! This should get you back in business.

Door broke

Pick up some nylon rope (same diameter or slightly larger) at any home store such as Home Depot, Lowes etc.. Need to attach the original plastic ends to your new nylon rope as well as to the door spring and then re-install on the bottom side of the door. Hopefully the other rope for the door assist is still intact so you can use that side as a guide as to how to route it around the pulley. Make sure that you lube the new rope up with some Vaseline etc. My door was squeaking very bad. Seems that the rope dries out over time which could have possibly caused your to snap. Pretty bad when your $1200 dishwasher door uses a length of small diameter rope to keep your door loaded with sensitive electronic boards from crashing to the floor!!!
