there are more than one password.
There is the one for you DSL connection itself and this stays the same and is not changed without speaking to your ISP.
then there is the wireless.
Depending on they types of setup there may also be more than one for this too. EG a PW for wirless A+B and another for G+N if your modem supports that
Additionally there may also be one for GUEST access
All the latter ones can be set normally by the end user. However some ISP's are a PITA and can often tightly control those aspects even.
First off can you get into your modem maintenance pages ?
http://cirt.net/passwords?vendor=EfficientGo through the list there until you dind one that works
Quite often another model will be the same as with most routers etc.
Once you are into the modem then you can set the passwords as you need but PLEASE write EVERYTHING down !!
Also take not of what you need by way of security for your tablet
EG does it only work with WEP ? as that is the MINIMUM you need and WPA is better if it supports it.
Also TKIP AES etc etc
Best bet is to set up for the poorest device on your wireless and then re-do all other devices to suit.
Never heard of the kogan brand tablet but a quick look around has it to be a low end unit so it may not have full implementations of all wireless protocols.
What is the android OS version too as that may play into things.
