Take the batteries out of the remote and see if it still happens

before any attempt to deep cause of problem, unsolder first all the tack switches in the front panel of tv.then turn on the tv using remote control observe? cuz maybe one of the switches is stock.if not,proceed to eeprom servicing which is u have to look for service mode of ur tv model to unlock it and reset it to factory value.

try this and see if it makes a difference
open the lamp door look for the blue switch(bottom left i think)
take the loose wire(blue and white) wrap it over the switch to hold it back
and while your back there make sure you dont have a lot of dust blocking the vent on the back cover

I have this same TV and had a similar problem. This may or may not be the same case with yours. The button panel on the front of your TV may be having connection problems. Mine would come on and off by itself. I took the front panel off and cleaned the connection on the button board with a q-tip and a little dab of alcohol. This cleared up the problem of it turning itself on and off.
