It sounds like the charging port on your phone is broken. This could have happened a number of ways. Either by dropping your phone, putting the charger in wrong, or taking it out wrong. If you call HTC(866-449-8358) and it is still under warranty they will probably fix it for free as long as it doesn't have any water damage(http://www.ehow.com/how_4479971_check-cell-phone-water-damage.html). Otherwise you could also get a new phone.
Have you attempted taking the battery out and while the battery is out holding down the power button for a few seconds? If this doesn't work, First test your charger to ensure proper charging. Clean charging ports. Remove battery and clean brass contacts with alcohol and q-tip
If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.
U can call your service provider they might be able to help ifthey cant assist you contact the phone manufacture either way you will get ananswer to your problem.
replace the battery- sounds like it's completely shot. If it still doesn't try- use a micro usb cable attached to a PC- if it still won't charge/come on- the charge board is gone, and you will likely need to replace the phone
I would take the USB cord and plug it into your computer and charge it that way. There has been some trouble with the wall charges coming with phone not working. If it still won't charge, its time to take it back to were you got it. Good Luck!
