Brother sewing/embroidery machine LB6800 is stopping mid embroidery and continuously beeping and showing F05 speed sensor. I understand I may need to clean the speed sensor? Where is it and how do I access it? I don't seem to be able to remove the front cover without breaking it... Please help! Thank you

hi, to open the pc-8200 first you need remove the right cover these have 1 screw under a plastic cap.
now you remove the 2 plastic cover in the left side upper and low these are onlu a screw in the back an remove pull to the left side.
Next remove the plastic cover where rest the embroidery these have two screw, you can see easy...
at this time you have only the front & rear cover, this have a hiden screw and lot of presure grapes.

SOURCE: Bobbin Case
ok Sim this is a bit tricky but not to tricky first turn the handwheel toward you until the hook is at one o clock postion then slide the case without the bobbin in into the hook area you may have to work the handwheel back and forth alittle but it should slide in just remember that the case should ride in the rim. also take the needle out first that way you wont get stuck trust me it happiens.

The safety device will activate if the machine has a bind or is unable to run at correct speed. If you turn the handwheel is it tight/hard to turn? if it is than thats it. Now what is binding the machine has to be diagnosed.

if thread is good quality you may have a sharp groove in your needle plate hole from needle breakage. if so, polish with emery tape.

Try turning down your top tension setting a bit. If its at 4 or 5, i would turn it down to about 3 ish. Cotton thread is more brittle than polyester and rayon thread.
Hope that helps :)
