If everything is out even the lights check the plug and make sure the fuse or breaker isn't popped, unplug the fridge and plug a lamp or something in there to check power,i've seen fridges on a gfi plug so check that too,but sounds like no power to fridge.next time send the full model number off of the machine,
you could have a bad timer or cold control and the light could have failed from the heat but try banging on the control, not to hard,it can stick when it fails and sometimes a good wack will get it going the timer is also there where the cold control is,there's a hole below the timer,if you stick a flat head regular screw driver up in there you can turn the timer out of defrost, just one or two clicks,if everything starts to run the timer is bad but i would check them if you unplugged the fridge and plugged something else in the plug to make sure you have power there

SOURCE: Amana French Door Refrigerator "on" but no cooling; freezer still works
There are 2 possible problems. One is the defrost cycle is not working properly this is usually indicated by a large amount of frost on the back freezer panel. If so, the circuit will have to be repaired and the evaperator thawed to remove the ice build up. The other is the fresh food damper is not working properly this is behind the "lump" in the back of the fridge compartment above the top shelf, remove the louver panel to see if it is open or closed. closed will be warm open should be cold. The water dispenser reservoir is probably frozen due to poor air circulation.

Check the damper in the top back of the fresh food section. make sure that it is open and air is coming through it.

the middle insulation hasbecome water logged, forma faulty defrost tube, so, every time trhe unit defrost, 2 maybe 3 times a day it will spill water inti the vents, andin to the refrig, the only correct way to fix is to have the enitre center drain block replaced, part not that expensive but labor to install may be, ohter then nussincence, not really affecting machines workings

In the back of the refrigerator, there should be a vent. Put your hand over it and see if air is coming out. This will tell you if the fan the other poster mentioned is working. If no air is moving then either the fan is bad or the channel is plugged. If only a small amount of air is moving through, open the freezer door and check the air flow again. If the flow got much better, then the return channel is plugged. Try these steps, and if they help post back and I will tell you what to do next.
