I have a three in one crib as well here is their toll free number on my assembly booklet. 1 800 295 1980. I hope they can help both of you for parts.

I just took off the front of the crib (long side) to prevent injuries when my son started climbing out his crib. It's sturdy enough and cheap.

Most if not all of the simplicity brand drop-side cribs have been recalled, including the Graco Apsen 8740 models.

According to the CPSP information the company appears to be out of business to some degree and are not providing repair kits.

If you know where you purchased the crib, check to see what their policy is regarding recalled baby products.

We had purchased ours at walmart almost 8 years ago and were able to return it to another store in a different state for a full refund last summer. They did not need a reciept received, they just needed the manufacturer label on the part that the mattress lies on.

Because ours was older, the customer service clerk did have to work hard to find the crib in their system, but once she did, it was not problem at all.

Toddler conversion on at least some of the cribs is simply to remove the front dropside from the crib (you may want or need to unscrew the dropside tracks to remove the actual side) Then screw the toddler rails to the front side of the crib. There should be pre-drilled holes for the toddler rails, if there are not then you may have the mattress support on backwards.

i have lost the directions to my 4 in 1 simplicity crib, we are trying to convert it to a twin or the daybed but do know how, the manafacturing code is 3804cw and the vender item # 8994w, if u have any info on this bed please let me know.

I thought I lost it too. But under the mattress on the bed frame (Metal part) it was attached to a bag there. I searched hi & low for this manual till I took the bed apart and there it was. 

you should be able to go to that same website and just scroll down more towards the end. it should then tell you converting to a daybed.
