I cant say for certain, but it is either a faulty bulb you've replaced, or poor connection between bulb and contacts.
Try getting a new bulb in case it is faulty!

SOURCE: bulb keeps burning out

There are several reasons for short lamp life. Inadequate ventilation or clogged cooling fans, a bad lamp driver or lamp ballast (they are the same) and the use of non-original Sony lamps, as the aftermarket replacements are known problem causers. Remember too that the number of times the lamp is turned on and off is a BIG factor in how long the lamp will last.

SOURCE: light bulb replacement for sanyo ems3553 microwave oven

If there's no obvious removable cover over the bulb (most often on the rear or side) and the owner's manual doesn't address it, then disassembly will be required.

You'll need to remove the outer cover (wrapper) to get to the bulb.

Always unplug a microwave before removing or installing any bulbs.

If it's an over the range type, remove the vent grille across the top and see if bulbs can be accessed there. There may be a panel on the bottom covering the light(s), instead.

If not, chances are you'll have to remove it from the wall, then remove the outer cover. If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

If you don't have your instructions, please reply back with your brand and model number.

Once it's out of the wall, the outer cover (wrapper) will need to be removed, just as you'll need to do on a counter top model.

On a counter top model, be sure it's unplugged, but otherwise ignore the instructions above this paragraph.

You'll need to remove the outer cover (wrapper) to get to the bulb.

See these links before proceeding:
http://www.microwavedisplay.com/safety.txt
http://www.microwavedisplay.com/disassembly.txt

The screws you need to remove should be pretty obvious, but a special driver (such as a T20H type or GTXH20-100) may be needed.

Be sure to put all the screws back in the right holes, since some may be special grounding screws.

Bulbs can be had locally in most grocery stores, hardware stores, home improvement centers, and big box or department stores.

Many models use halogen lamps. You must not touch the new one with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

SOURCE: power light blinking and housing for lamp screws broken

I bet the area around the lamp shows signs of warping and/or cracking too? This is a VERY common issue as the fan that sits above the lamp gets clogged with dirt which allows the lamp to over heat which decreases the lamp life as well as distort the plastic casing around the lamp. The fix is a thermal fuse kit and a new fan and of course a good cleaning of the other fans in these TV's. This should be performed by a service technician.

Seek a repair shop. You most likely have a ballast power supply issue.

IS THERE A REPLACEMENT BULB IN THE 42' SANYO FLAT SCREEN TV

There is no bulb, likely an LED with RG colors. You need to get the right LED part number and replace it yourself if you are handy with a soldering iron.

How do i change the bulb

Hello,
Bulb TVs are very big. In most cases the TV will give a warning that alerts you it's time to change the bulb. Do not touch the glass part of the bulb, as oil from your hands will reduce the life span of your bulb. Replacing the bulb is a simple process that will take a few minutes. Here is how to do it.
Step 1: Read User Manual Make sure that you have your user manual with you when working on your TV. Most electrical appliances will have guides on how to deal with replacements of parts and where to get the replacements and what specifications to look for. Read the user manual in depth before attempting the project of replacing the bulb. Step 2: Disconnect Power When working with any electrical appliance, always switch off and disconnect the power. Electrical shocks can cause injury or even death. Step 3: Open Bulb Door At the back of the TV there will be a bulb door which will usually be near the power cord, depending on the make of the TV. Once you locate the door, proceed to open either by sliding it open or unscrewing it as may be required. Step 4: Remove and Replace Bulb Once the door is open, unscrew the bulb assembly and remove it. You can then remove the bulb from its compartment. Bring out the new bulb. Hold up the groove on top of the new bulb and align with the groove pocket on the inside of the TV, then proceed to slide the new bulb into place. Step 5: Replace Bulb Assembly Once the bulb is securely held in place, return the bulb assembly to its position and screw it back. Make sure not to tighten it too much but have the screws just firmly in place. Step 6: Close Bulb Door Once you are finished, you can close the bulb door after making sure there are no tools or screws left inside. Having such items inside the TV could cause a short circuit. Your door needs to be closed for the TV to operate. Tips: Remember to allow the old bulb to cool before you remove it. It will usually heat up to very high temperatures that could cause some serious damage. Most TV bulbs will warn you to replace your bulb while about a hundred hours are left on the old bulb. This duration is meant to give you time to get the replacement bulb and fit it. Finally, if you do not feel confident in doing the replacement yourself, get a professional to do it for you. They might charge you a fee, but it will be cheaper than the cost of damage caused by a poor fit.
Take care in solving the fault

I have black circles on the top of the screen. My son says its pixel problem. TV repair guy is coming today, asking for $130.00 to trouble shoot

Your unit has a defective LCD panel. If the unit is not under warranty, the LCD panel itself will cost you about as much as the tv. Best solution is to replace the tv with a new one and always purchase an extended warranty.

I have a Sanyo PLC-EX20 projector which shuts down after five minutes, what could cause this?

There are 2 possible causes.

The first may be due to overheating. Most projectors have a "air filter" that can be removed and cleaned. If it gets clogged with dust over time, the projector can't breathe and shuts down.

The second cause may be your lamps life hour clock. Most projectors keep track of the amount of time that their bulbs have been active. Once a preset # of hours has passed the projector will limit functionality until a new bulb has been installed AND the lamp life clock reset. Most projectors do not automatically reset the lamp life clock after a new bulb is inserted.

There should be instructions on how to reset the lamp clock in your users manual, and info on cleaning the air filter. Unfortunately I went to the Sanyo website and was unsuccessful in locating a PDF of the user manual for you.

While in operation the TV just shut off and can not turn it back on, not even manually. Could it need a bulb replacement? TV is only 3 yrs old. We know that it has nothing to do with the cable. If it is in...

There is no bulb in plasma tv's. LCD's have a backlight and projection tv's have bulbs.

Unfortunetly it sounds like your power supply has failed on you. It is repairable. At 3 years old I wouldn;t think you have any warrenty left (perhaps extended store type) so you want to get a repair estimate before spending any money. You may find it cheaper to get a new tv. Or not that much more. You should be able to get a estimate from Sanyo repair depots or tv repair shops or ask the local stores about repairs and they may tell you who to talk to. The repair cost can be reasonable but can get expensive if they find a lot of repairs are needed. The parts are cheap but the labor isn't (and shipping etc) so make sure you weigh out repair verse replacement to avoid a bit of a shock.

Samsung 50" DLP - Lamp Light Blinking after bulb replacement

Listen closely. The tv should make a high pitch whine as it turns on. If it does wait and see if it tries this a few times. If yes then check the bulb, I have seen cases where the lamp shoves the power connector back into the set. If the tv starts with a grown or heavy vibration noise, then your color wheel may have broken and needs replaced.

Problem with Toshiba DLP Projection TV Model #52HM84

It is possible the lamps may be defective or that they may be the wrong replacement for this model, as it may have a different wattage setup with the ballast. If you want to try to order the TB25 lamp from a different vendor, you can order the original Toshiba replacement lamp for this model (52HM84) from a major Toshiba parts distributor at the link below:

Replaced bulb in a kdf-e42a10 and worked for about 8 hours

3 times red light blinks shows that Lamp Cover is Open. Please put back lamp cover properly.
I would recommend to always replace with Original Sony Lamp and avoid aftermarket or compatible lamps.
