I have a saeco odea go that has never been used. A lot of cold, clear water is leaking from the bottom of where the water tank is.

I tested the water tank for leaks, there aren't any. Saeco suggested I descale it, that didn't work.

SOURCE: Saeco Odea Giro descaling problem

Ok first check if the machine is in greenlight state when you press and hold the water button, as it will not work when the red exclamation mark blinking.

also check if the button work at all flipping back and forth to hot water and steam.
I have never had this problem that it dident work.
But remember this, you dont have to do the descaling again as that has nothing to do with the reset.
You can even reset the descaling alarm with out having done the descaling.

If that for some reason wouldent work I would think its the CPU card is not working.

SOURCE: Water leaking from underneath water tank.

I rang Saeco service centre about my leaking water tank and they posted me a new tank - no questions or need to return the faulty item. I believe there may be a bad batch of tanks which leak because of faulty valves.

SOURCE: water leaking from water tank

Hi
There is a seal on top of the machine under the water tank. To get to it, remove the water tank, and set aside. There is a large doughnut shaped cap on top of the machine. Slip a screwdriver on the outside edge of the cap and pry up gently. When it snaps up, go to the other side of the cap and do the same. There is a black seal in the center and if you stick your finger in the center and it lifts out it need to be replaced. Clean any residue inside the opening with a Q-tip.
When you get the new seal, it won’t slip in. Insert it at a slight angle (double lips down), then take your finger nail and run it around the bottom edge of the seal until it slips in, then push down. Snap the cap back on and your set to go.

SOURCE: Saeco Odea Go - Hot water leaks from bottom of machine

That's leaking from the hoses coming out from the boiler,if the machine is new it should be still under warranty, may have to take it back to the service center. When making coffee the lines are under pressure and the water never have a chance to pass through the ground coffee.

SOURCE: I Have descaled my Saeco Odea Go but still it doesnt brew coffee

That is serious, that means the grinder is jammed or not working. To check the components of the machine follow these instructions.
Press and hold the steam button and turn on the machine, when you see the lights going around in anticlockwise direction, release the button. Turn the coffee dial to the left and press the steam button, the grinder should turn. Dial on the right and pressing coffee ****. water pump runs. Press steam ****. brew group go up, dial 1/4 to left B/Group down.
If grinder not turning the motor is bad. Hope it will help to find out.

50/50 solution vinegar 50% filtered water and 50% vinegar. fill reservoir with this solution as if you were making a pot of coffee. Run 2 or 3 pots fresh filtered water thru unit to clear out vinegar taste.

Water leaks from the bottom of the odea go when brewing. We have soaked the brew group, tried to lube every spot we could think of, and still no luck. Machine is 1 and 1/2 years old. thanks.

Hi,
If it's from the left side of the machine, probably the tap valve seals are leaking. If alot of water leak out without any coffee from the spout, then the hoses rupture or boiler leakage inside the machine.

Saeco Odea Giro : Water tank problem

The only thing I can think of is the reed switch on the back of the panel that checks the water level. If there is a float in the water tank check what level it is when it calls for refill, it might be in backwards, or the magnet has moved.

Saeco Odea Giro - Watertank

Yes that is perfectly normal. It has to have enough for a long coffee or steam. So it always has some to spare in the tank.

Saeco Odea Giro alarm light on all the time and temp light off

Hi,

Make sure everything is fitted in place, there are several sensors that can bring the lamp to light. I have not heard that the water sensor is gone on Odea machine.

Can the machine run the selftest and can you see any water come out?
