I have an LG 47GA6400 TV. I have 2 large vertical lines on the screen. I need help identifying what is causing the lines. Could it be the t-con board?

Sounds lik a bad buffer board. you will probably have to have a tech replace it.. could be big $$$. get an estimate first.

Can you please tell me if you also get lines on the screen with the old old T-CON board also?
Are they solid color lines?

Hi, the appearance of black streaks on the screen of a Sharp LCD TV is common problem most customers will have to contend with. One of the most visible signs is the appearance of a message that reads " loss of sync". In this situation, the individual will still hear the sound coming from the LCD TV but the picture disappears especially within 10 minutes of putting on the TV. Hi,
Basically it is problem of LCD Panel (screen) however some times T-Con board replacement fixed the issue (T-Con board is part of lcd panel but some part shop sell it separately). Main board is not related with this kind of problem.
Required T-Con board is available in ShopJimmy.com (click the link to view available boards)
If T-Con board replacement does not solve half screen vertical lines problem then LCD Panel will be replaced and it would cost approx new tv price.
