I got an old and a new daewoo microwave. KOR-630A and a KOR-7LREM. Somebody tell me how to disable the buzzer. Can't even see the manuals yet for the KOR-7LREM. Can I snip both legs of the soldered part? Lady at an appliance fixer place said the buzzer lives on the control board and we don't doo that!! Thanks ahead of time!

The only way to do this is to locate the piezo sounder on the control board & remove it. However, I do not recommend trying to do this yourself, unless you are trained & experienced in high voltage electronics, as there are INSTANTLY LETHAL voltages present inside, even if the unit is off & unplugged. The sounder is a black, cylindrical device with a small hole in the middle. It will be found on the printed circuit board behind the keypad, mounted either horizontally or vertically. There will be either 2 or 3 connections to the sounder.
