Having looked at the Brennan it can't record music only copy it.
So what you need is some software such as Magix Audio Cleaning Lab. This will record the music from the record player and get rid of the clicks and noise from the tracks.
You also need a converter, these are simple enough and you can get them from Amazon. See image below you can even transfer video with the yellow RCA or SVHS lead. Your deck plugs into the red and white jacks and the usb into the computer. Once recorded you can transfer the files to the Brennan.

You need to purchase a phono preamp (about $20) and then the output of the preamp can be connected to any line level input on the receiver (tape, CD, DVD etc.)

You will need to find a booster for it if it is a low level record player. Many new ones can plug right into the "AUX" or "TAPE" input of a stereo. The older ones would require a booster amp to be able to hear it on one of those inputs. You can go ahead and try it, it will not hurt the stereo to see if it will work or not. After you plug it into the stereo, if you can barely hear anything with the volume really loud, you need a pre-amp booster for the record player. You may need to look on ebay for one, I do not know of anyplace that sells them anymore.

I've had this happen before, and it is caused by your ground wire not being hooked up. Depending on the type and age of turntable, it will have an additional wire (the ground), that needs to be hooked up to either a screw or some sort of opening similar to your speaker wire hookup. That should take care of the problem. If you don't have a ground wire coming out of your turntable, I don't know how to help, other than figure out how to ground the turntable.

Argos has a turntable for 90 pounds which converts Vinyl to MP3 or wave . There are similiar versions for cassette tapes. If you need help finding one. let me know
