Why can't I receive and send emails from my Samsung cell phone. I am connected to wifi.

For starters, can you try some troubleshooting techniques to see if your can fix the problem?

• Remove Gmail Account and setup again
  • Phone Setting> Accounts> Google> Select your email account> "Remove account"
  • Re-establish account.
• Clear your App's cache and data
  • Open Phone settings> Select Application manager> Swipe to "All"> Choose Inbox> Clear cache and data
• Make sure that Background data is enabled
  • Phone settings> Data Usage> Scroll down to Inbox and make sure that "Restrict background data" is not selected.
• Try Syncing over WIFI only( Airplane mode) or Over your network only.

Lastly, if none of those options worked, try re-enabling the notifications for your bundles to see if notifications start to come through for any of your mail.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2: Can't send or receive MMS messages:

Some phones are unable to send or receive MMS messages if they are not on cellular connection but on WiFi.. if this is the case, turn off WiFi and just be on cellular

Some devices if on Power Save mode, it will not send or receive MMS messages because it takes up a lot of memory.. try turning off Power Save to see if this helps your situation

If you have a weak signal, this could also be the cause for not being able to send or receive MMS messages. I have a Note 4 and this happens to me when I have weak signal.

And you get notified near your message notifier on your home screen if there is any unread emails.You can also optionally block email id s or subject that you don t wish to receive on your Samsung Star

You may not be able to do that , as you have WAP on your handset and when you press the Email , the handset then connect to the WAP/GPRS server which is the internet to retreive your information. Even if you have wifi connected you handset will still connect to the internet server and will do a live sync with your email service provider. So you need to have internet to check email and send MMS.

can you send using 3G connection? because if you can, it is possible that your wifi network is blocking the iphone to send emails. have you also checked if there are other SMTP servers that you can activate for you to be able to send emails?

You can enable Wifi in Se tings

Go to Settings--->Connectivity--->Wifi--->Search for Wifi.

activate any Wifi in range and if its ask for the security code you need to enter it or its is unsecured you will directly connect to Wifi and you can check your email ,or use internet also.

ok in n95 u have a wifi connection u can login you yahoo id and check the mail and reply to it.

Email sync: make sure each account is set to send and receive automatically every xx minutes. I think the default is four hours?
Phone freezing: are you using WiFi or your cell data network? I've found if you're using WiFi and have a weak connection, the phone will spend a lot of time trying to re-connect.
Resetting the phone: pulling the battery is a bummer-- have you tried using the reset button on the bottom of the phone (to the right of the power connector)?
