SOURCE: can't get existing bluetooth headset to work with new phone

I had that problem when I changed handsets. You need to:

  1. ensure the bluetooth setting is turned on on the handset
  2. switch on the scala 500
  3. press and hold the scala 500 power button until the red and blue lights are both flashing (you have to hold the button in for quite a few seconds)
  4. now you can search for new bluetooth devices from your handset and it should find it to enable you to connect

Blue parrot b250 xt headset instructions

Depending on the cell phone, you will need to connect to the headset AFTER pairing. Pairing just lets the phone know that the headset exists. Connecting to the headset will allow actual use. What phone are you trying to connect it to?

My new phone a Samsung Gusto is not pairing to my Plantronics 233 bluetooth? Is it compatible?

Hi, to be sure if the blue tooth wll be compactible with Samsung Gusto, you will need to use the below instructions first after trying out the instruction and still does not work, that means it's not compactible with it.

instruction:

Read the owners manual for your bluetooth device. You will need to find the code to pair your headset to your phone. This code is usually 0000 (those are zeroes) but verify before you proceed.

Enter your bluetooth option on your cell phone. These can be found in your menu under "bluetooth," "connections," "settings," or something similar.

Turn on your bluetooth headset and put it in pairing mode. Pairing mode means the bluetooth is ready to be found by your cell phone. To pair your headset, follow the owners manual for your specific bluetooth model.

Select "add device" or "search for new device" from your cell phone. Your cell phone will then search for your bluetooth. Once it is found, or discovered, you will need to enter the pairing code (most likely 0000, check your manual to verify).

Select "connect" to finalize the connection if the bluetooth headset didn't connect automatically after the pairing code was entered. Make a test call with your bluetooth in your ear to ensure it is connected properly.

Good luck..

Connecting to my motorola cell phone

According to some trouble indicated by another person, the unit must be fully charged to make the initial connection.

I didn't experience any trouble myself. However, I recommend the following:
  • Make sure Bluetooth is turned on for your phone.
For security reasons some cellular phones will force you to turn on Bluetooth each time you turn on your phone.
  • If your cellular phone prompts you for anything when trying to connect, try entering "0000".
  • Make sure the headset is turned on before you try to find it with the phone.
The blue LED on the headset should have a slow, steady blink when the unit is on. If it's not, hold down the large button until the blue LED flashes rapidly.
  • Try connecting while the headset is connected to the power adapter.

1.Press and hold the Multifunction button in the middle of a boom headset while the headset is closed. The light will glow blue.2.Open the boom microphone and the blue light should remain on. If not, repeat step 1.
3.On the cell phone, press Menu > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth > Handsfree > New Device
4.Select Explorer 220 once a connection is detected.
5.The passkey "0000" is now entered to confirm the connection has been made.
6.The cell phone screen will now read "Bluetooth Connection".

Tips:
1.Provided you set the Bluetooth power to "On" after the initial connection has been made, the phone will automatically re-connect to the headset.
2.To set the Bluetooth power on - Press Menu, Select Settings, then Connections, then Bluetooth link, scroll to Setup and select that. Scroll to Power and chose Change. Scroll to On and press Select. The screen should now read "Changed: Power On".
3.Test Your Connection: Close the headset and watch for cell phone to say "Disconnected". Re-open the headset and the phone should be connected automatically and will now display "Bluetooth Connected".

please give good rating if the solution works.
