The Sanyo FXWD remote was used with the Sanyo DS27930 and DS32424 TV. The manual for the TV is available at manualslib.com. The instructions for the remote are on pages 7 thru 11 of the TV manual.
Could be a bad remote, bad contact on that button. You could try taking it apart and cleaning it with alcohol. You could also try hooking the unit up to your VCR (if you have one). The other option would be to buy a channel 3 modulator.
Not sure, but have you tried getting a universal remote and programming it with a sanyo code? If this is not an option you can get MFR. remotes on ebay, but they might be costly. I went to ebay and did a search on "DS27930". I found one seller, but there was a least one. $34.95 for a remote sounds high to me.
