What is error B200 when attempting to power up

http://www.printerdiary.com/2011/09/canon-error-b200-how-to-fix-it.html

Error B200 on Canon printers is a print head error. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. To attempt to resolve it, do the following:

(1) Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over
(2) Remove the ink cartridges from the print head.
(3) Use cotton swabs dipped in hot water to thoroughly clean the print head and each ink cartridge.
(4) Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab.
(5) Once finished, allow to dry and replace the cartridges
(6) Try to print something now

If that does not work then you have one of two possibilities:
(1) One of the ink cartridges is defective and causing the error
(2) If it's definitely not that, then the print head will need to be replaced.

Error 5...ink cartridge is not recognized after refilling

Clean the contact point of the cartridge to the printer before placing it, then **** some ink in the cartride by a cyringe to lessen the level of ink inside the cartridge. full ink cartridges encounter this error because the absorver inside the cartride overflows.

The black printer cartridge leaked a fair amount of ink in to the printer. I am getting all lights flashing and the printer won't even turn off when I hit the power button. I did some cleaning and it...

Sorry to hear that.. here are some instructions that should help you out:

Instructions

things you'll need: Microfiber cloth

1. Ink Cartridge Errors
2. Turn the printer on and open the ink cartridge cover. Wait for the cartridge carriage to stop completely before reaching into the printer.
3. Press on the top of each print cartridge, then pull the cartridges free from the carriage. Make sure you are only using HP cartridges labeled as "HP 60" or "HP 60XL."
4. Reinstall the ink cartridges and close the cover. If the ink cartridge error message displays again, remove the ink cartridges as before.
5. Clean the copper metal contacts on the cartridges using a dry microfiber cloth. If you still see the error message after you reinstall the ink cartridges, replace hem with new cartridges.

Print using the device's ink backup mode if you do not have a replacement for one of the cartridges. Remove the cartridge you cannot replace and close the cover and continue printing. The printer will automatically use the backup mode until you install a new cartridge.

I have a printer canon mp258 a continious the ink and suddenly it seems have error the printer message is error 5100 what should i do? pls hekp me plssss.....

Hi,

This is a common problem with this series. I could tell you few tricks that might work and help you.Hold down the reset button for 5 or more seconds and this would reset the error code. Unless it is most likely a print head issue. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. To attempt to resolve it, do the following:

(1) Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over
(2) Remove the ink cartridges from the print head.
(3) Use cotton swabs dipped in hot water or a mix of hot water and isopropyl alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head and the electronic contacts on each ink cartridge.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Received an error code 50c on my Dell printer

Regarding the Dell A940 "Error 50c"....the user guide doesn't seem to mention "Error 50c". They do, however, mention a "Cartridge Error" on page 52 of the manual. They claim this means that the printer has detected a short circuit (fuse/resister) in the cartridge. As you may or may not have noticed in the manual, this is what they recommend doing about it:

1) Press Power to turn the printer off.

2) Lift the printer cover/lid (scanner unit) until the scanner support holds it open.

3) Turn the printer on.
The ink cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the printer is busy.

4) Remove the color ink cartridge.

5) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.
If the error message displays again, replace the black cartridge with a new black cartridge.

If the error message does not display, repeat steps 1–3 and then go to step 6.

6) Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black ink cartridge.

7) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.

If the error message displays again, replace the color cartridge with a new
color cartridge.
If there is no error message (indicated by flashing lights), repeat steps 1–3 and then reinstall both ink cartridges.
8) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.

If you get the error message again, while both cartridges are installed, replace both of the cartridges.

Basically, what they want you to determine is,....if the short circuit is with the "black ink" cartridge or the "color ink" cartridge and then replace the cartridge that has the problem.

Thanks for all the ideas and help ; )

Stylus CX3900 won't turn on

Do you used ORIGINAL epson cartridges? I used false ones, the yellow one exploded (I'm NOT kidding) inside the printer, and it died. Too, may cause errors on the printer's motherboard, on each cartridge, have a chip who don't metter the ink inside, calculate an extimated value. When you put a false cartridge, the chip may send wrong/corrupted data to the printer system, making it dizzy, and stop working... Epson products have short lifetime, i rarely saw an epson printer go more than 6 years, the most ones die on the first year. Is what i know, good luck.

Cartridge Error 50 C in manual A 960 No l

One solution is to replace cartridge snap-down levers  (the levers that snap down inside the dell printer to hold the cartridges, blue for color and black for black). This seemed to have work for several people with the same issue.
