Danby DTT420 washer is not spinning properly. When I have no clothing in the spinner it spins at regular speed; however, when I put clothing in it slows down and will not spin clothes out completely.

SOURCE: kenmore 80 series washer not completly spinning clothes dry

Belt going..
A bit of a pain to replace, but doable..
Belt dressing will keep it going for a while..
Dont get your fingers caught in it..
Serious injury is possible, unplug the machine
and stand on the plug while moving the
belt to goop it..
(why? that way it cant get plugged in!)

SOURCE: washer won't spin fast, only slow

tyr removing the lower acees panel from the uint , ther is a "button trap" located there to catch debris from entering pump assy, chances are its clogged and if it cant drain all the water it wont go into high speed spin, also you MUST use an HE detergent. HE detergent specifically designed for front loading washers

SOURCE: Whirpool Duet won't spin clothes at high speed

Thinking of 2 things either the transmission is out or the clutch is burnt out and the drum basket and possibly the drive shaft broken as well. Prices vary greatly by how many of these things are broken but should run between 100-200 including labor.

When the spinner is turned on my danby washer blows the fuse

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry but with such a fault it is extremely difficult for anybody on this forum to remotely guess what is wrong with your washer however main suspect could be the motor.
I fear that your only real option is a service call as the engineer will have the right equipment to safely diagnose what is wrong.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Speed wash will not spin drum to wash clothes

I had the same problem. The pump is not pumping out the water, thus stopping the spin. Take off your pump (located under the washer in the front right) and look inside to see if there is any junk stopping the plastic spinner to spin. Clean out really good along with the attached hoses. Replace (tricky!) and try the washer!

Spin cycle not working like it should

If the washer doesn't reach it's proper spin speed, the clothes may be wet at the end of the cycle. Since you have replaced the belt, it could be that you have a worn motor pulley or tub bearing. Check for damage to the pulley and shaft and for free play. Also make sure that there are no clothes or foreign objects caught between the inner and outer tubs or something causing friction on the drive train. Hope this helped.

The washer works, the spinner does not spin and holds water. The water does not properly drains when washing and spinning is done.

you havn't given make or model.
however, check the filter and the drain line. fault could well be filter blocked

Danby washing machine noisy only during spin cycle

hi there,

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping/or sound
during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and
redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.
