You may have use an open port or sometimes called virtual server, depending on your wireless router. Go to portforward dot com and use their free setup instructions.
In case you don't know, Gamespy which were the ones responsible for the maintenance of servers such as CoD: World at War among others... were shut down. There's no fix to that unfortunately. But people are trying to make their own servers in the meantime. I guess you have to wait... or hope for a miracle
i would find out what ports are being used it sounds like there are 2 servers being used one is login server that your router is allowing another is game server witch its not.
