Hi, I have a zanussi wwashing machine model= ghg1200apm. The door won't open. I plugged out the machine after the wash and when i plugged it in again, the door wont open. Can you help me?

Hi.

The door does not open because there is water inside the machine. To open the door you need to empty the tub first.

To empty the tub disconnect power, open the door at the bottom of the machine's front side, unscrew the drain filter cap and collect water using a container.

Usually that is enough to allow the door to open. If the door does not get released, try running a cycle again.

If still no luck, then the door is locked either because the pressure switch detecting water level is clogged with soap or because the power surge has damaged some component. In that case the machine must be partially disassembled to reach the back of the door opening mechanism. The door latch is reachable either from drain filter access or from top of the appliance.

Emptying water through the drain filter and/or restarting a cycle usually is enough to release the door lock.

Regards.

The door is not opening

1. the door will not open if in the sanitary cycle.
2. the door will not open if the water level is too high. (open access door at lower left on front of machine and use the hose there to drain water out of washer.
3. the door will not unlock without power to machine except for the following:
4. unplug machine, remove top cover by removing bottom screws from plastic clips on back of washer top, then standing in front of machine, using the palms of your hands to sharply push back the sides of the washer's top about 2 inches, allowing top to be lifted off machine. reach down to door latch and manually move latching arm on door latch to allow door to open.

Can't open door of ASKO W6883

If nothing else works, the washer door can be opened as follows:

This must only be done in an emergency

if the machine's glass door does not open automatically when the program has finished.

First check that there is no water left in the machine. If there is water left in the machine and it is not possible to run the Drain program, empty the machine by using the drain hose.

Make sure that the main power switch is off and that the plug has been re- moved from the wall socket.

You will find the emergency opener for the glass door in the double sealed bag.

Open the glass door by putting the opener in the slot to the right of the lock on the door. Push the opener up or down and the door will open.

hello,

solution bellow.

There is disclosed a method of controlling an automatic door opening/closing apparatus
for a washing machine that includes the steps of determining whether or not there is an error in
an automatic door opening or closing operation carried out in response to a command to open or
close the washing machine's door; determining if the erroneous operation has been
repeated more than a predetermined number of times according to consecutive incoming commands to open or close the door; and when erroneous operation has repeated more than the predetermined number of times, ignoring a subsequent command to open or close the door.
1. A method of controlling an automatic door opening/closing apparatus for a washing machine door, the method comprising the steps of: determining whether or not there is an error in an automatic door opening or closing operation which operation is carried out in response to a command to open or close the washing machine door;
determining if the erroneous operation is repeated more than a predetermined number of times according to consecutive incoming commands to open or close the washing machine door; and
in the event that the erroneous operation is repeated more than the predetermined number of times, ignoring a subsequent command to open or close the washing machine door.

2. A method as set forth in claim 1, further comprising the step of: returning the door to the washing machine to an original position in the event that the error occurs.

3. A method as set forth in claim 1, wherein the step of determining if there is an error in an automatic door opening or closing operation is performed on the basis of whether or not an inversion occurs in an open/closed state of the door within a prescribed period of time after an automatic door opening or closing operation is initiated.

4. A method as set forth in claim 1, further comprising the step of: clearing the number of errors in the case where the door of the washing machine has been opened or closed manually at the time of occurrence of the errors.

5. A method as set forth in claim 1, wherein said predetermined number is 3.

6. A method for controlling the operation of an automatic door mechanism in a washing machine, said method comprising the steps of: sensing a command to automatically open or close a washing machine door;
sensing whether a failure occurs in opening or closing the door in response to the command to automatically open or close the door;
incrementing a counter indicating the failure;
determining whether the counter is equal to a predetermined number; and
failing to engage the automatic door mechanism in response to a subsequent a command to automatically open or close the door if the counter exceeds the predetermined number.

7. The method claimed in claim 6, further comprising the step of: returning the door to an original position if a failure is detected.

8. The method claimed in claim 6, wherein failure is indicated by a lack of a transition between a door open state and a door closed state within a predetermined time period following entry of the command to automatically open or close the door.

9. The method claimed in claim 6, further comprising the step of: clearing the counter if the door is opened or closed manually following a failure indication.

Hotpoint ultima wt741 F11 fault code

HI

There are several reasons why a Hotpoint door could be jammed shut. One of them is the part you describe which is called the ******. With some older Hotpoint models, there is a cable that runs from the door interlock to the motor. When you operate the door catch or button, this part "pecks" down onto the drive belt or the end of the armature's shaft. If the drum is moving, the ****** will slip on the rotating belt or armature and disengage the door interlock. If the drum is not moving, the ****** meets resistance and the door opens. Therefore if the ****** has come off, or is loose, it can stop the door opening. When you attempt to open the door does this part move?
Other things that can stop the door opening are -
  • A broken door catch or door frame where the door catch screws in (they are rubbish on many Hotpoints - always breaking) you can sometimes get the door open if you push the door firmly in as you open it
  • If there is water still inside the washing machine, then the door wont open either on these Hotpoint washing machines (not on some others though) If this is the case, when you try to open the door the ****** won't try to move down at all. You can open the door usually if you drain the machine. (only applicable with door interlocks that have a rubber pressure hose attached to them)
  • A faulty door interlock
  • The pressure chamber can be blocked on some earlier Hotpoint washing machines which gives the same effect as having water in the machine. Basically the washer "thinks" there is water in when there isn't. This would require the washing machine being stripped down to remove and clean the pressure chamber bottle. This cause is only applicable to washing machines where a small rubber hose is connected to the door interlock. This hose allows the door mechanism to be locked and unlocked by air pressure activated by water rising inside the pressure chamber bottle attached at the other end on the tub. Gunge can block the very small aperture where the pressure hose fits to the pressure chamber bottle.
Thank you
