Panasonic NN-CT585S Microwave Oven - door seal melting on inside - only 2.5 years old. Has anyone else had this fault or just please check where the glass meets the plastic on inside door.

SOURCE: Panasonic microwave model NN-2959: can't open door.

Your DOOR LEVER probably is broken. To open the door remove the filter (2 screws at the top) then remore the control panel by removing the screw holding it in place UNPLUG THE MACHINE. then unlatch the door. BUT I am trying to find a door lever and find they are no longer availabel.

In all likelihood the mangnetron is failed or failing, or perhaps even the Power Supply is faulty. You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man.
Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the price of a new one

If indeed you have an extended warranty that covers this situation, you go to the outfit that sold you the warranty. Could have been the store where you bought the unit. Or you could check out the unit on ebay and hope that parts are available for it inexpensively.

Inside is a screen which sometimes arc. These are normally available from the dealers and is not very expensive. Microwaves are dangerous and repairs are better left to trained people.

Check the door interlock switches and replace as required and the fuse inside the appliance AFTER disconnecting from any supply.

Panasonic Inverter NN-V673S microwave- shuts off after 2-30 secs

If the screen is showing a fault number or a number you havent seen before then its probably a program fault which can't be fixed. Check that the vent holes on the back of the oven aren't dirty and ensure that the whole oven is clean inside. Sadly it sounds like a program fault which cant usually be fixed by the owner though.
Finding a Panasonic oven repairer in the UK shouldnt be a problem though. My parents had a simlar problem wth their Panasonic Inverter oven, called the UK customer services and Panasonic contacted an authorised repairer in Scotland to visit them. Call customer services on 0844 844 3868.
If the call out charge exceeds £80 then you're probably better off buying a new oven.

This is usually caused by either exposed metal in the micro, or the metal in the bag of popcorn was overexposed. Typically if this happened, replacing the door components costs around 20-50 bucks. Which in, in any case, if the unit is over 2 years old or older, it would be more fesable to replace the unit.
