Paper won't feed

When printing, the paper is not being drawn through the machine. I have made sure that the paper is not chewed up at the ends to begin with!

I turned the printer upside down, shook it and tapped the bottom and wehey.......problem sorted!!

WOW, 7 years on and this just worked for me!! Thank you rhoda_uk66!! I've been trying to fix it for weeks - sad, but I love this printer so much - it's photo quality is amazing even compared to modern printers.

This is my 3rd Epson R300, my previous 2 died with user serviceable parts message (usually the felt pad collecting waste ink is flooded, and is not replaceable) on this one I bypassed it by pulling out the waste pipe and inserting it into an external container - make sure it has a lid (with 2 small holes in the top) and insert it into the side through a pushed out hole and secure with tape - anyway I digress, I took it outside (disconnecting my home made waste container) and gave it a good spanking upside down, hey presto, it worked!!!

I'm so sad I was even considering buying the only new one I could find for £120 - now that would have been mad!

Thanks again rhoda!

Lexmark s605 paper jamming

Sounds like an obstruction on the right hand side of the feed mechanism. All-in-ones are a pig to find these - I've had one HP almost completely stripped before I found a chad of plastic stuck in a corner. Nine times out of ten it's a torn corner of the first bit of paper to get chewed jammed in the feed slot.

Canon Inkjet, Not Printing?

Hi Rosa,
There was a paper jam and you cleared the jam, however you missed out to do one other thing. Cleaning the Rollers.

If the Paper Feed Roller is dirty or paper powder is attached to it, paper may not be fed properly.
In this case, clean the Paper Feed Roller. Cleaning will wear out the Paper Feed Roller, so perform this only when necessary.

You need to prepare: three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper

1.Make sure that the power is turned on, and remove any paper from the Rear Tray.

2.Open the Paper Output Tray gently, and open the Output Tray Extension.

3.Clean the Paper Feed Roller without paper.

(1) Press the g0081065_tcm14-774017.jpg (Maintenance) button repeatedly until b appears.

g0081066_tcm14-774018.png
(2) Press the Black or Color button.
The Paper Feed Roller will rotate as it is cleaned.

4.Clean the Paper Feed Roller with paper.
(1) Make sure that the Paper Feed Roller has stopped rotating, and load three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Rear Tray.
(2) Make sure that b appears on the LED, then press the Black or Color button.
The machine starts cleaning. The cleaning will be completed after the paper is ejected.

This should fix the issue

HP Laserjet 4plus chewing us paper

This is most likely cased by a dirty paper feed path so it will need cleaning and blowing out. Make sure that all the internal paper guides and separators are free of obstruction. Make sure that the fuser area is clean that the internal paper guides are ll in place and operate freely. Also clean it with a vacuum with a soft haired brush tool to avoid any damage. Also fan the paper before using it and do not overload the print paper tray. Also check that the pick up rollers are not work or contaminated with dirt / debris etc. Also make sure that the print tray is not overloaded and make sure that the paper is not to tightly held by the tray side guide.

My epson stylus r265 wont feed paper it just chews it up

Most printers now are made of plastics and very light…when you store your printer in hot enclosed place that will affect the printer, and you can see the result on the prints, paper feeds, etc. you need to clean the printer if you did not used for over one week by conducting software head cleaning and open the door for the paper feeder and clean all around the inside…you have a jammed paper in the back that push the feeder out from the track and end up been shredded, make sure that all the doors closed very good and that the paper tray has the side track very close to the paper from the sides so the papers do not move side way when they go inside the feeder… Let me know if this what you are looking for, and please rate my service so I am able to continue serving everyone and improve on it.

How to load the paper

There are two places you can load the paper.
There is a small pull out tray underneath the flap where the paper prints out in front. Lift the flap then pull out the tray using the handle cutout at the very bottom of the printer.
There is a back feed location as well, if it's not up already, flip up the back feed flap. There are two finger holds on either side of it on the back of the top of the machine. flip it up and put the paper in there.

It is important to select which to print from as well. On the left side of the button console there is an indicator light on the drawn picture of the printer. Make sure the indicator light is on the place where you have your desired paper. If not push the "feed switch" button next to it.

Out of paper message

It sounds like the roller in the back, clean it with a soft rag with a little bit of alcohol. I had the same problem and ended up throwing it away and bought a Kodak 5300. Did you try going to HP solutions center? Good luck.

Printer will not feed paper

Mine did that too.
I found that propping the paper feed cassette up at the end away from the printer worked.
