First unplug the a/v receiver and then check tv to see if the audio output is on or internal speakers. With the a/v rec. you should have chosen the variable audio and not leave on int speakers. If this does not work unplug set for at least an hour and try again. You can get additional info from www.ctechnicians.com
SOURCE: no sound coming through tv speakers
Hi.
Some Large flat panel tv sets have seperate speakers that clip on to the side of tv set if you got the manual with the tv does it say about seperate speakers.
Or if it does have speakers with the tv set check that the audio frequency is set to your countries transmission frequency.
Example UK is PAL (I) If your not in uk try and find out what yours is.

Your settings in the receiver are not set up properly.
You need to adjust the volume output through the rear channels in your receiver. Review you manual for set up. The issue is in the receiver, not your speakers most likely

Try going into menu, setup then audio setup in that order on cable box to activate different features on the audio. If you are wanting to run optical you may have to get it activated thru comcast. The optical is not always active.
