Both my earbuds are pairing, but only one side is playing sound. I know neither side is broken, because when I press the button on the side not playing sound, it just switches the earbud that plays sound. Anyone have any ideas??

After connecting one, turn on the other. Then while both are powered on? Press and hold the button on both earbuds until they connect to one another.

I bought my wife and I a set of the TWS i7 AirPods. When she goes to pair her AirPods to her phone it pairs mine to her phone as well, or visversa. How can I get just mine to pair to my phone and hers to her phone?

SOURCE: only one earbud working

Either the connector on the ipod is broken or something more serious

You can try reseting the device
To reset your iPod:

  • 1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  • 2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

SOURCE: skullcandy earbuds one earbud not working

It is likely that your right stereo channel has either been severed somehow or there is a severe short in one of the cables. What you can try to do to test this theory is first turn on your music. Then wiggle the cable at the very base of the right earbud. If nothing happens wiggle the cord right where it connects to the stereo jack. If still nothing happens run your fingers along the right earbud audio cable bending and twisting it. If at any point you hear music again then you likely have a short. If it is near the earbud then it is going to be difficult to fix since these earbudfs have a large gauard. If the short is at the stereo jack then the fix is simple. A standard 1/8" stereo jack can be purchased from any electronics or audio store. You can then fairly easily seperate teh old stereo jack and solder this new one in place. Search the internet for tutorials on how to do this if need be. Even if you do not get any kind of sound when wiggling it at the base of the jack this is the most likely culprit since this is where most of the stress on the headphones occur. Be wary though, if you do attempt a stereo jack repair you will void whatever kind of warranty your earbuds may have so check before you try. But, in teh end you may end up saving a 60-100 dollar set of earbuds for 5-8 dollars. Hope this helped.

Why cant I connect both ear buds at same time

If it is an iPhone and those EDR ear buds from China, Apple has found a way to identify them and block them from working in both ears. Send them back or sell them to someone with an Android.

If you do have Android, Google name and model pairing. Click on the video tab.

This type? The other problem is that they are a knock off of the Apple ones, but there are also knock offs of the knock off. Most say 'i7+EDR', mine said 'i7+ERD'.

My tablet is asking for a code for my jam transit mini buds ? They were working before!

Are you sure it's not a codec? If they are paired with any other device, they will not also pair with the tablet. Also. Try moving away from your modem or router, any USB 3.0 devices or any other outbound source of data transmission. If your tablet is a hotspot, turn off the hotspot option, pair the earbuds then try them, if that fixes it, you'll have to enable your hotspot after pairing your earbuds

Headphones

Firstly, it looks like the plug showing in your video has 3 black bands on it. Is that correct? If so, that usually indicates that it would be a headset that also includes a microphone like the kind of device to use on a cell phone that has that kind of female plug on it. I would try to determine where the problem originates, the computer or the earbuds. You could do this by plugging in a pair of known working headphones in to the computer and see if they work ok. I took a pair of earbuds of my own that have the 3 black lines on the plug (and they do in fact have a microphone too) and plugged it in to my laptop and they work fine. The fact of the 3 black lines does not seem to have any effect on whether or not sound comes out of both buds. so, I would take the "broken" earbuds and try them on an mp3 player, someone else's computer or anything else like that that plays stereo music. If you only get sound from one speaker while they're plugged in to a different device then you can safely assume that the earbuds are broken. Most likely a bad wire in my opinion. It's probably time to head to the store at that point and pick up a new pair of earbuds. Thankfully, they're not very expensive these days. I hope that helps. any more questions? you can email me: davidsfreud@gmail.com
