You need to dismantle the keyboard top, control panel, to get to the keybed.
Unplug the keybed and turn over.
You will see a circuit board the rubber contacts are below this.

Replacing the motherboard sounds extreme for some of the setting just soundingg off. I would suggest doing a reboot before doing anything else. There is a well documented problem that occurs with the keybed on some of these models due to a manufacturing fault. Take a look at the keys that are sticking. Is the gap on either side of the key the same ? If not then the key normally leans slightly to the left rubbing on the adjacent key causing the sluggish action. The fixing tab at the back of the key breaks causing the spring pressure to push sideways.
You can just replace the offending key but the problem will eventually return. You could replace the whole keybed but this is a very expensive fix.

Hi, removing the contacts and cleaning may solve the problem but more than likely due to the age of the instrument you will need to replace the contact strip as the carbon wears over time. I believe on this model the contact strip is one continuous part rather than individual octaves as on later models. If cleaning does not solve the issue please report back and I will dig out a schematic to check the part number of a replacement.
The principal to replace your contact strip will require one further step to that shown here where the customer has replaced the felts.
When you have the keybed out you will see the contact strip part 220. This is held in place behind the circuit boards. Remove boards, replace strip and reassemble.
It might be worth considering felts whilst you have the keyboard in bits as these wear out.
I can't solve the problem, but just wanted to sympathize because I have the same problem. My pedal is broken on my Yamaha Clavinova cvp85a. It worked wonderfully for years but finally it broke. I'd be in the market for buying a new pedal or fixing the old one. But I've not found any suggestions in any of these forums for either solution.
